About

Jan Zelinger has been active in the music and DJing scene since 1998 — first as DJ Kita, and since 2011 as Ian Kita.

He discovered DJing on vinyl in late 1998 and launched his career a year later. Over more than two decades he has built a solid position on the Czech electronic scene, playing clubs and festivals such as Hradhouse, Citadela, Summer of Love, Beats for Love, Coal Festival and Cube, with sets heard across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany and Luxembourg.

Producing since 2001, his first vinyl Volkom came out on Samopal Records in 2003 and his debut solo EP followed in 2011. Since then he has released hundreds of tracks on respected labels. His sets are driven by techno, naturally infused with tech house and house — always focused on groove and atmosphere.

“Music is not just something you listen to. It's something you feel.”
